As we enter our 29th year, we are excited to add two new styles of programs to the ARCC lineup: ARCC Global Action and ARCC Gap Semesters. These new offerings continue the evolution of our ever-expanding service learning programming. Our Global Action Programs educate our students on the many dimensions of a specific world issue: this year they include wildlife conservation in East Africa and shark related issues in the Galapagos Islands. Our three month Gap Semesters allow graduated seniors to fully immerse themselves into the unique cultures of Asia and Africa as they journey to the far reaches of these continents.
It is no coincidence that almost half of our programs are strongly service oriented. While the current generation of teenagers is often perceived as dependent upon materialism, we’ve experienced something quite the opposite: thousands of students volunteering their summers to help others. In return they gain a global perspective through rich, intimate encounters and are rewarded with an incredible sense of accomplishment, pride and insight.
At Adventures Cross-Country, we are proud to offer programs that allow teenagers to experience the world in unique and exciting ways. Our programs appeal to a diverse set of interests and are designed to meet every student’s needs.
