Language Adventure Leader Position
Language Leaders will lead those ARCC adventures which include language school as a main component, we will have local teachers for the main portion of the language lessons, but expect leaders to assist students in their studies and language practice during other parts of the adventure. While on these trips leaders focus on overseeing the language school logistics, ensuring safe and sound practices, supervising cooking, and facilitating activities and initiatives to improve teamwork and group dynamics. Language Leaders will also oversee all portions of the trip which include all outfitted activities.
Requirements
- Ability to manage the logistics for language school programs for groups of up to 15 people
- Solid expedition behavior
- International travel experience
- Proficiency in Spanish for the Costa Rica or Spain Language Adventures; Proficiency in French for the France Language Adventure
- Ability to oversee outfitted activities (but not guide) such as rafting, sailing, sea kayaking, SCUBA diving, surfing, etc. Skill in these areas is helpful, but not required.
