ARCC offers Gap Semesters in Africa, Asia, India & Nepal and Latin America. All of our programs are designed for students who are engaged, motivated and excited for the new experiences that await them. Whether it’s living with a family in a homestay, conducting interviews with local villagers, or transitioning and adjusting to cultural norms unfamiliar to them at home, students are often faced with new challenges and opportunities for growth during these semesters.  ARCC Gap students should come ready to step outside of their comfort zones and be open to all that lies ahead of them. ARCC goes to great efforts to ensure that our program is the right fit for you. ARCC Gap Semesters are designed for students ages 17 – 20.

ARCC is currently accepting applications for Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 Semesters. Space is limited, we encourage you to begin this process as early as possible.

STEP 1

Submit an Enrollment Application
Fill out the online “Enrollment Application” found by clicking “Enroll Now” at www.arccgap.com.

STEP 2

Secure an Available Spot with an $800 Deposit

Submit an $800 deposit to secure your spot. The deposit can be made over the phone with a credit card, and $300 is refundable before June 1st. Please note that the deposit is fully refundable in the event that the applicant is not accepted into our program.

STEP 3

Submit the “Detailed ARCC Gap Application” and 2 References

Applicant must complete the application online. This application will be made available to you once you have completed steps 1. and 2. Included in the application will be two references, one based on character, the other based on academics. Reference forms should be passed on to the designated references and can be emailed or mailed to ARCC at gap@adventurescrosscountry.com or by mail to: ARCC, Attn: ARCC Gap, 242 Redwood Highway, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Please note that if for some reason you are not accepted into an ARCC Gap semester, your deposit will be refunded in full.

STEP 4

Interview with a Gap Director
Have Gap Admissions Interview with an ARCC Gap Director in person or via Skype. Once the application and both references have been received, a Gap Director will contact the applicant to set up the interview.

STEP 5

Final Decison
Final Decision. ARCC will notify applicant of final acceptance within two weeks of the interview.
