Today we had the luxury of waking up at 8:00 for our second day of surfing. When we got there we were instantly greeted by Ian and Mark who would be our surf instructors for the day. They continued to teach us the basics of surfing and everyone was able to stand up on their boards with ease. We finished surfing at about 11, but didn’t leave the beach.
We grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed over to another part of the beach to meet Barbara and Rick who were having trouble freeing a large net from sand and rocks. Using teamwork and tools we successfully dug out the net, which could have potentially harmed animals such as whales or sea lions.
On the car ride home, everyone was exhausted so as soon as we got to the campsite we got ready for bed and immediately passed out. Overall it was a day that we all felt great about.
