Meet the Team

Chris Emme

Chris was born in Denver, CO, was raised mostly in The Woodlands, TX, but spent a year and a half of his childhood living in Algiers, Algeria attending an international school with a wonderfully diverse cohort of students. This was his first major overseas experience and the impact it had on him was significant. Though Chris’ Stanford years were dominated by running track and cross-country, which included competing nationally and internationally, with a brief stint running for Nike, his passion for adventure, service and international travel led him to 27 months serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Health and Community Development sector in The Gambia, West Africa. Since returning, Chris has worked in environmental education, outdoor guiding, and has led service and adventure trips around the world. When not working, Chris is an avid climber, runner and mountain biker. A highlight trip of his was bike-packing 1600 miles through Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia.
