Program(s) as Leader: Costa Rica, Ecuador/Galapagos, Peru, Dominican Republic, Thailand Service
Dream Trip: Traveling with my family through sections of Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, and other parts of Latin America.
Education: BS in Environmental Science from U. of Redlands

Franco became inspired by the outdoors during a backpacking expedition in high school. This experience changed his life and taught him about the learning potential of spending quality time outside. He expanded on this passion in college as a trip leader for the Redlands outdoors program, and simultaneously dedicated his time to working in a home for boys who have been neglected, abandoned, abused or who have made poor choices in life. For him, the opportunity to empower, instill confidence and provide support for these boys has been invaluable. For Franco, ARCC is a gateway for young students to learn many things including: varying cultures, the value of education, but most importantly, to realize their potential and how they can positively impact their family, friends, and the communities they live in. When not working, Franco can be found playing in the water, throwing a Frisbee, riding his bike, taking photographs, cooking and reading great books.
