Dream Vacation: Snowboarding and hiking in the Southern Island of New Zealand, then catching a flight to surf and relax on the beaches of Bali, Indonesia.

Education: B.S. in Psychology from the University of Oregon; Ed.D in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of Denver

J.D. joins ARCC from his home base in Anchorage Alaska where he works with high school and elementary students’ as full time school psychologist for the Anchorage School District. He believes deeply in the positive impact ARCC Programs have on students, helping them come into their own through the challenges and opportunities they encounter throughout their experience. When he’s not leading an ARCC program or working with students, J.D. can be found coaching 5th and 6th grade basketball, snowboarding or devouring a psychological thriller.
