Matt was born and raised in rural Wisconsin and stayed in state to attend University. After graduating from college early Matt decided to travel before starting teaching. He ended up in Guatemala for two months to learn Spanish and volunteered in a school for an NGO. Matt extended his stay in Guatemala and eventually secured a job with a brand new international school called Antigua International School. The first person hired at the school, Matt was able to build the Math Program from scratch into what exists today. Throughout my past five years in Guatemala, Matt has travelled extensively throughout Mexico and Central America, including a few thrilling motorcycle and road trips down from the United States.
