Rob hails from Warren, PA, near Allegheny National Park. Passionate about education and international travel, Rob joined ARCC with significant experience teaching and living overseas in England, Scotland, Thailand, Portugal and Israel. After working in Microfinance and serving as support staff at an elementary school in San Francisco for a few years, Rob stepped back into the outdoor educator role as a trip leader for rock climbing, rafting, skiing and backpacking programs. He then found the perfect way to combine his experiences by leading internationally in Thailand, where he is currently leading programs for students between 15 – 17. Some fun facts about Rob are that he recently taught himself to surf, his favorite foods are Thai, Greek, Mexican and the American breakfast, and his favorite books are Ulysses, Gone Girl, Cloud Atlas and Slaughterhouse 5.
