As a trained geographer, Rose is fascinated by the way humans interpret, manipulate, and understand the Earth as our home. She is immensely grateful for the opportunity to travel with a group of young people whom are also passionate about deepening their understanding of the world and their place within it. Throughout college Rose directed a small, student-led nonprofit organization that provided outdoor education experiences. As a facilitator, she developed a passion for utilizing adventure-based experiences as a platform for self-reflection, personal growth, and team building. During college, she organized and planned recreational and service trips to South America where she spent time exploring in all three Gap countries (Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru). Rose fervently believes that exploring new geography, languages, and cultures provides space for young people to challenge themselves while developing a more complex perspective of the world around them.
