When Nolan is not out leading trips for Adventures Cross-Country, he is a middle school and high school health and physical education teacher in Tennessee. He is also currently working towards his PhD in Higher Education Administration. Balancing his work, he finds time to work within the UT Outdoors Program department, leading college-aged students on outdoor adventures across the Southeast. Nolan recently participated in Bike and Build, cycling 4,000 miles across the North America from New Hampshire to Vancouver, Canada while raising awareness of affordable housing. It was the trip of a lifetime.
